someone else said Stormchasing and YES a million times yes (I literally reread it yesterday. it's just so good) as well as basically all of the wonderfulness that is Slow Burn. that series is one of those that rly lives in my head 24/7 (for sexy and nonsexy reasons).

its so good the whole way through BUT i do have some favorite sexy bits. the terzo chapter in sacred and profane (as well as the dew/reader chapter that follows) is definitely up there.

and obviously I'm glad they're all made up now but all of the jealous dew/rain competition in Sink or Swim is so so good. the chapter with dew knocking on the wall so rain can hear? you're joking

and don't even get me started on all of the million wonderful things I have to say abt phantom in the last part.

Omg as long as everyone is talking about slowburn I just HAVE to bring it up: one of my favorite moments will always be in Sacred and Profane when everyone meets Phantom for the first time, specifically when Cumulus is complaining about Phantom being a dorky kid and tells Mountain he's gonna be working overtime, and then they actually see Phantom. Idk why but the "Your overtime's canceled" line had me cackling when I first read it

I swear I also enjoy the sex parts but I'm also a sucker for some good plot and banter and you just write them so well it's amazing

Thank you so much!!! 😭❤️❤️ Honestly writing the banter and characterizations between the ghouls is my favorite part, like sure sex is great but sex is even better when you can laugh about it together ya know?? I just think the ghouls are all really funny and fun to hang out with and I have a lot of fun writing them like they're the bunch of BFFs with benefits that I wish I had, often drawing inspiration from people I've actually known over the years.

My characterization of Cumulus in particular is heavily inspired by an IRL friend I have who is... the life of the party, to say the least haha. She's absolutely wild and always has the funniest one-liners and every time I'm writing a Cumulus scene I'm like "what would [FRIEND] do/say after a few tequila shots??"

Said friend one time got a cake made for someone she had an unfortunate encounter with in college that said "Sorry for the dick punch." Naturally, I had to pay homage to that in Space Between with Cumulus's “What was I supposed to do after that, you know? Bring him a cake that says ‘Sorry I sucked your dick so hard you cried?’” line.

So I guess the moral of this story is that every time I write about a ghoul doing something wild, it's probably because one of my degenerate IRL friends has done the exact same thing 😅😅
