The train rattled and shook underneath Ant's feet. He knew it wasn't a real train, but it felt real, a deeply unsettling sensation. He tried, for the contracts, to smile, but his heart wasn't in it-- His heart was at home, with his husband, far away from this fucking horrible place. Still, the Contracts needed someone on their side in this fucked up little game, and Ant could hardly call himself part of the League if he wasn't willing to take a hit?
Ant ignored the cameras, even as they zoomed in on his face. He wasn't an actor. They knew that when they assigned him to it. "Let's just stay calm and get through this, okay?" Ant said, trying to keep his voice calm. "We'll get out of here in one piece and go home to our families."
