Yesterday we hiked up onto a glacier and even did a little faux ice climbing. For some of us it was the first time wearing crampons and using an ice axe. All had a great time learning about the movement of the glaciers in the area and getting up close and personal with crevasses and seracs. Today we hung in a glacier lagoon, the meeting point between the foot of the glacier and the sea. Giant blue ice bergs float there ominously after calving off from the main glacier.
