thinking about how Jess knew about Carson and Greta since night 1 but she just quietly kept it to herself. watching Carson storm into their room, rambling on about rashes or library trips and just going with it. not telling Lupe even though she knew it was the gossip of the century and Lupe would lose her mind, because she respected their privacy and didn't want to out Carson. I imagine Jess knew where Greta and Carson snuck away to make out and played look out without ever being asked, steering the other girls away if they got to close. I don't think Carson and Jess were particularly close, at least before episode 6, but Jess was always looking out for her from afar.
Carson x Greta is actually the least profound duo on the show. And I think that's actually really amazing. (Controversial opinion whatever, though ik there are people that agree)
I mean clance and max; just the whole you're my team, and the way clance absolutely didn't want to find a new housemate because nobody could replace max. Max is Clance's person and vice versa.
The duo of Jess and Lupe, then you add in Esti. Like the fact that those two were sneaking out going to the bar. The way Jess is learning Spanish for not only lupe but also for Esti. They are a little family. Jess knowing Lupe needed to talk to Esti so she pulls that stunt with the tire, actually just getting soda to give them that time.
Max and Carson, both of them navigating their sexuality and having their safe space where it's just the two of them. There is just so much mutual respect between the two of them, no pushing. They are both odd balls and learn from/listen to each other.
Carson and Shirley even was really nice. Because you can see that Shirley is most comfortable with Carson(i mean who else is she gonna test kiss withl. And Carson when Shirley finds out about her and Greta, yes Shirley is not okay with it, but that conversation afterwards. Carson just telling Shirely this is who she is, but also telling Shirley like you're one of the best players I know.
