Why did I do this.
I just found a short children's story I wrote for an assignment when I was 13.
Once upon a time there was a little boy and a little girl living in a little house with a little garden. The little boy's name was Dingus and the little girl was Marley. They had a little dog named Doppe.
On the way home from kindergarten Doppe barked at Dingus and Marley. Dingus and Marley go scared.
Then Doppe ran behind a house and came out with a plant in his mouth. The plant had green, pointy leaves. Near the house were some shoes tied to a cable.
Dingus and Marley followed Doppe back around the back of the strange house. There was a giant garden. All the plants were the same as the plant that Doppe had found. Dingus and Marley went home.
They put the plant they had found in their little garden. Dingus, Marley and Doppe all decided to name the plant "Mary-Jane".
Everyday the plant grew and grew. Dingus and Marley watered it every morning. One day a grumpy old man living next door saw the plant. He didn't like it at all. He set Mary-Jane on fire. Dingus and Marley were inside watching the old man. They were very upset.
They watched the man burn their poor plant. Smoke flew all around the garden and the old man sniffed the smoke. All of a sudden a smile appeared across his angry face. He then started whooping with joy and dancing all around the garden.
Dingus and Marley thought the smoke smelt a bit odd. "Maybe it was a magical plant" thought Dingus, Doppe and Marley. Dingus and Marley went outside and started to dance with the old man. The man was not grumpy anymore. He was a happy old man. They all lived happily ever after.
