I know you have a billion and five asks but something just occurred to me. What do you think the plan was when Beth confessed to Boomer's murder? Him coming forward seemed like a surprise to Beth, so what do you think was supposed to happen next?

I do have a billion asks and some are creeping up to being a month old! (The shame! It’s because it was the finale, so I didn’t have to get them out before the new episode, and without a deadline, I just let it all go and then there’s my new job and being exhausted and stressed out all the time etc.)

So I can’t exactly remember the order of things, but I think that Beth was convinced that Boomer was going to cut and run, leaving them with his ‘murder’.

As for Beth, I think that she was finally ready to take the blame for her actions. She went to Turner because if she confessed and took all of the blame, Annie and Ruby would be free and clear. Beth was well aware that she convinced them, and sometimes forced them, into this life. This was her idea from the start, and she was finally stepping up to the plate to take the fall for it all so those two could live their lives.

She wasn’t expecting Boomer’s gram to force him to go to the police station, but that eventually worked in her favor - she got to go home without charges, and Turner had a whole lot of egg on his face.

@ jesshill88 : That's me. It should have. But honestly Beth didn't really have a conversation with Dean about his cheating until recently either. Hell Dean damn near bankrupting them didn't get a big reaction out of her. Beth is a cleaner she sweeps ppls mistakes up and just keeps it pushing. It's annoying.

I think it’s really hard for her to figure out what she wants. Every time I feel like she gets to a point where she knows, something small disrupts everything and she’s put between a rock and a hard place where she has to choose and she can’t. I feel like she always has to choose between being selfish (by enjoying her boss bitch life, things she’s really good at that’s not baking and delegating her kid’s schedules, and even enjoying Rio and their work together) and by putting others first (being a mother, a good ‘wife’, a good ‘person’) and she gets into this stalemate where she just freezes up.

And then defaults to whatever is easier: aka being a PTA mom, being a good housewife, etc. And that’s frustrating but her struggle makes for good TV because we want her to be selfish and choose things for herself, we want her to pick a life that’s more dangerous and rewarding and we want her to be with Rio, who sees her potential when she’s so used to not seeing it herself (and being with a man who never sees or appreciates her potential).

This is probably going to be mostly sitcoms or things of the like because I just don’t like them lol (except for Seinfeld + The Office)

oh babe this is such a good one thank you! this was also really hard because I’ve enjoyed a lot of TV in my day //sounds like an 80 year old woman. I think the shows listed below have had the most impact on me, let’s put it that way.

I know this is a question that only few are wondering after the season 2 finale of Good Girls... but what do you think will happen with Jeff's body? Will Mary Pat finally give him a proper funeral and declare him dead? Hell is it even still in Beth's yard (which was always dumb btw).

The Boomer/Jeff body situation is still such a mess lol.

Well, as far as we know Jeff is still in Beth’s backyard, right? I think Allison Tolman got the lead in another show so I kinda doubt she will be back. I guess the writers are just gonna forget about him until he’s needed for plot reasons.

 @ jesshill88 :  No Dean faking cancer was never addressed not that I remember of. I feel like Beth felt bad that he got shot by Rio and blamed herself so she just let it go. 

Which is so dang W I L D. I know a lot happened, but still, I feel like a conversation should have been had. Dean’s textbook emotional manipulation drives me bananas. On another note; Rio shooting Dean what an iconic scene.
