I'm sharing my own personal experience with college here: I was at a CC, and I never acted on stage once. I was in stage craft, and I was the assistant stage manger. Every year I kept trying eith the hopes of getting in. So to all the college kids: Keep trying out for the shows at your schools.

Hi I don't know if you can help with this, but I'm going to try. I need some advice: I started Mamma Who Bore Me from SA a few months ago, and tonight I belted higher notes in Kindergarten Boyfriend form Heathers. The Open note of Mamma Who Bore me I still struggle with. Do you have anyway to build confidence?
Well, it’s probably a combination of two things:
Psyching yourself out. When you’ve been singing a song for so long, it can be hard to let go and release all that pent up tension. Often, we have to take a break from those songs that we’ve worked on tirelessly, because at a certain point, it doesn’t serve us to just keep pushing against our obstacles in them. When we come back to them later, we often find it a lot easier to tackle, because we don’t have that pent up frustration with it!
Vowels. Brighter vowels--”ah” vowels--are easier to belt than round vowels--”oo” vowels. So you can try to filter in a bit more brightness into the tone in order to help belt it. But again, a note could be super easy to belt in one song and impossible to belt in the next, and that’s primarily due to vowels usually! Just make sure that as you brighten, you don’t get into that smiley mouth position. Keep it tall.
Hope that helps!
MBTI ask: 1-5,10,12,19
1. What's your MBTI type?ISFJ! I’m pretty sure. It’s taken me a while to settle but I’m pretty sure I’m an ISFJ.
2. What's the thing you most love about your type?My protectiveness of people I love.
3. What's the thing you must hate about your type?Introverted sensing makes it REALLY hard to do new things sometimes.
4. How would you say your cognitive functions apply to your life?I mean obviously Si is SO dominant for me, I can’t do anything without referencing it to the past, I was at Target today and I was going to buy a new razor and I was like, “No, I’m going to stick with what I know works” and then I was like... yup Si. Fe is pretty big for me too, especially in my views on morality because I have such a hard time with trying to separate my morals from the rest of society.
5. Are there any stereotypes about your type that you think are wrong?THAT ISFJs AREN’T CREATIVE AND ARE BORING??? I especially hate the stereotype that SFJs live for other people and are dependent on other people lol no I’m so independent.
10. Do you consider yourself an MBTI nerd?I spend a lot of time thinking about it but I’m not obsessed with it. I’ve spent a healthy amount of time researching and learning about it though :)
12. What's your favorite Tumblr blog about MBTIfunkymbtifiction by FAR. it’s what got me into MBTI and still the best typing I’ve seen on this website.
19. Do you ever watch a movie/read a book and try to guess the character MBTI personality?Sometimes! I mostly use it when I’m writing and developing my own characters.

I 1000% agree with on the casting biases. We should be be more open change, and people should talk about it more. Sure it's hard, but you need to talk about it. If you don't change won't happen.

Book: The Secret Diary of Lizzie Bennett. Why: Because it is a modern retelling of Pride and Prejudice, and it still has the classic feel to it.
oooh! That sounds wonderful! Kind of like the Lizzie Bennet Diaries. I’m definitely adding that to my ‘to read’ on goodreads. Thank you!
