@wxngedarcher liked for a starter!
“Hey,” Jesus called out, following quickly after Daryl after returning from their time at the Sanctuary. “You wanna.. Talk about what happened back there?” He grimaced, knowing Daryl wouldn’t want to talk about it. “Can I make you dinner? Offer you a roof over your head until you go back to the Safe Zone?”
“ i could stare at you all day “ // @zendixon
Paul smirks happily at Daryl’s weak response. “What are you going to do to stop me?” He asks, teasing, his own face glowing with a smile as he sees Daryl’s lips tug up.

Jesus groaned, sitting at the kitchen table with Daryl a few days after Daryl’s escape. They had been managing just fine, more than fine, really- turns out Jesus’ sly sense of humor parred well with Daryl’s.. over-all attitude.
He stretched his arm over his head, counted to twenty, and then across his chest, counting again, trying to loosen his sore muscles. He must’ve landed a little off barrel rolling out of that truck after letting Carl trick him.

“like for a starter with jesus”
It had been just over a hour since Daryl and Jesus had returned back to the Hilltop from the Sanctuary; Jesus had been more than willing to give him asylum in his home for the time being, giving him some of his clothes and a chance to finally bathe while he prepared enough food for everyone who was staying in his home these days. Jesus was trying his best to ease Daryl back into the land of the living as painless as possible.
“Daryl?” Jesus called cautiously, glancing towards the closed bathroom door. He hadn’t come out yet. “Come out whenever you’re ready, but I can’t promise the feast I prepared will be warm,” he lightheartedly said softer, pouring himself a bowl of leftover soup Maggie had made.
“Daryl!” Jesus called after the other man, seeing him for the first time since they escaped the Sanctuary together. He jogged to catch up with him. “Hey, how the transition period back at the safe zone been?” He asked, genuinely curious; since the bike ride home to the Hilltop that day, Daryl Dixon had been infiltrating his mind a bit. // @aintbreaking
