Time for a new book. 

Denis Johnson passed away a few weeks ago. My immediate reaction was to grab his greatest hits (Jesus’ Son), but his debut novel is such an inspired piece of writing that I would prefer to share some excerpts of that book, in the hopes that you give it a try (or a re-read).
