Finished "Draw the Dragon Above You" for @coralspire-outpost of their Eyvia.

I actually had this finished for a couple days now but was distracted as I was painting my room (look, I couldn't stand looking at grey walls anymore, it was making me go insane). Horribly late but hopefully worth the wait! Thank you for having patience as I practiced an exaggerated pose and a background which is something I haven't done in a looooooong time but thoroughly enjoyed. If you catch me in the "Draw the Dragon Above You" I will absolutely be using the practice as a means of updating my portfolio with new work. Momma needs money and I gotta start pimping my skills again.

Some lore and yapping under the cut:

This was for an “assorted Ravens” page on Artfight for ppl to chose other designs from or make up their own if they wanted. Including chaos spawn too, or more like half-spawn: most of these guys tend to inevitably succumb to a sort of flesh-change problem where older or just less psychically skilled warband members begin to lose their ability to disguise themselves as regular space marines (or whatever they are impersonating, they have dreadnoughts and vehicles etc too) Those that can't physically disguise themselves 100% can sometimes use "trick of the light" tactics to appear passingly normal, or create other illusions at a distance, but this requires psychic skill and is far less effective against anyone/anything that is sensitive to or skilled in warp/psyker nonsense. But yeah they also have a handful of these spirit-healer types (I have yet to come up with a good term) dedicated to guiding other members through this process when their bodies start to falter - sometimes it ends in failure, sometimes it ends up with members stuck in this halfway state where they are degraded pretty heavily into chaos-spawn territory, but still have a degree of control over their bodies. Just the nature of things when you make pacts with the denizens of Tzeentch..!
