there's jonny toews, spending over a decade with the very team that drafted him, captaining his team to three cups, beloved so far from home, and yet having to leave, only to return to the ice with his hometown team, and likely be able to retire having full-filled his childhood dream. and then there's mitch marner, drafted by his childhood team, spent close to a decade with them only to lose in the first round almost every year, booed by his own homecrowd, forced to leave behind what was likely his childhood dream. that's hockey.
