My love for travel was ignited by my first international trip during my junior year of high school. At the time I never knew when I'd find my next opportunity to go abroad again but I knew I had to go. I knew there was more to the world than the DMV area and I'm continuously grateful to see different parts of the world. Going abroad always reminds me of the luxuries I have being a US citizen (regardless of political and social climates). It reminds me that while we have achieved much, we still have far to go, and that without proper actions where we could return as a nation. It also expands my perspective during visits to the not so touristy areas of the places I visit. At the end of the day be grateful and TRAVEL! Johannesburg was good to me.
