We had a side trip to see the jet sprints in Hastings. Great couple of days as we went in my brothers bus (mobile home). Saw this great tree sculpture on the way back in Woodville.
Heading from Taranaki to Auckland we had an unexpected stop in a little town called Piopio (pronounced pew pew). These guys have made a real effort to stop the tourist by putting up some incredible art in some very interesting ways. The grey building is cement wall with corrugated iron used to form it, so the print came through. Really liked the look of it and loved the village green.
