I'm Jewish and beginning to get involved in witchcraft, and the deeper I go the more I notice other witches referencing their personal deities and sometimes Greek Gods and such. I was wondering how you reconcile Judaism with the involvement of multiple deities in craft? Or do you perhaps just not participate in that aspect? I'm just trying to get a vibe for how other Jewish witches deal with this. Thank you!!!
I personally don’t do any work with deities as they’re not who I personally worship. Any spells directly relating to a deity outside of Judaism I try to avoid. I 100% support those who do use deities or other Gods, but I don’t feel comfortable using them in my personal craft as they’re not who I currently worship. I usually use God, the universe, my ancestors, or other Jewish figures during the prayer part of my craft.
Being not much of a religious person although definitely spiritual, I didn’t realize until I sat down to eat this that I was a day early for #roshhashana ... Baked apples with honey, sage , onion and cinnamon and potato pancakes and chicken sausage. It was just really good on an autumn evening where the chill in the air and the scent of the fruit ripening in the garden was almost an aphrodisiac. Happy New Year to you all...
