From what you’ve read up until now, how close is red chamber Hong lu’s personality to limbus company Hong lu’s personality?
not very ? Jia Baoyu is like. a somewhat spoiled, energetic kid whose main character flaw is that he doesnt act like a male heir should. He has something of a talent for poetry, and a good memory for texts he's read, but he tend to be kind of an ass about it and assume that his interpretations are the most valid ones (which is NOT a great thing to do in qing dynasty china, where apparently everyone is obsessed with texts). He makes friends easily, and he makes friends with people below his station, which is once again not a great thing for a male heir to do but is very like Hong Lu. He does also share with Hong Lu that he's a very empathetic person who is simulateously absolutely dogshit at communicating with others, but otherwise he's just a lot more like a regular person who experiences feelings normally. Also he is like. a preteen at the point of the book im at, which yk. does make a difference
That being said i HAVE heard that he gets a depression later on in the book, and he'll probably act a lot more like Hong Lu then. It's also very possible that when Hong Lu was 12 and allegedly not depressed he acted a lot more like Baoyu does in the book. i guess i'll have to find out.
