Turn Week: Day 5 (Favorite Line)
I didn’t take enough notes, BUT I do like these.
Benedict Arnold - “We do what is right, and we live with the consequences”.
While what he says is funny to me, it’s also something I do believe more people should live by. We won’t, but we should.
Benedict Arnold - “No one will ever know the true measure of my sacrifice”.
Robert Townsend - “It is difficult to measure sacrifice. Often it seems to me that it is a road with no end”.
Benedict Arnold - “Of course there’s an end. The end is death”.
This little conversation was one I liked for the hidden meanings and the emotions they expressed. Things aren’t going to plan and problems are mounting. I like that they have a connection for a moment. Plus, I do think that making any real sacrifices should be to a cause you don’t need repayment for, or else it isn’t a real sacrifice in the first place. I also think there’s a such thing as putting too much effort into something, or someone, that only takes from you and doesn’t promise anyone any true benefit. Anywho, I have one last line, simply because I thought it was funny.
Jim Ryder - “My ass is licensed by Congress”.
-skip a few lines-
Caleb Brewster - “My ass is paid by congress”.
