Lately, I've been, I've been losing sleep dreaming about the things that we could be.
Oh, this is life without you I'm learning how to miss you I guess I need to know how it feels like.
This is life without you I don't know who to turn to And everything I've known is said is goodbye.
If anyone human had seen them like this, either of them would have killed the poor sod without a second thought. Jim and Lucien were criminals, murderers, vampires. They didn’t do all that soppy, domestic rubbish.
Well, they didn’t once upon a time, anyway.
“If you don’t quit squirming, I’m going to kick you out of the bloody bath,” Jim growled, tightening his hold around Lucien’s torso. Though it was almost more of a Jacuzzi than a bath proper, they were still just a little cramped with the both of them in it. That, and neither was all that used to sharing a bathing space.
"Fine. I’ll just get out, then.” When Lucien made as if to climb out, and no doubt go strolling off through the flat nude and wet, Jim growled and wrapped his legs around him.
“Quit being so defensive.” It wasn’t until Jim’s lips brushed the back of his neck that the elder vampire began to relax anew.
Lit only by a truly impressive array of candles, the world’s only consulting criminal and his assassin-slash-lover enjoyed their moment of sappy affection for one another.
Say something, I'm giving up on you. I'm sorry that I couldn’t get to you. Anywhere, I would’ve followed you. Say something, I’m giving up on you. And I will swallow my pride. You’re the one that I love. And I’m saying goodbye.
You were the most important in my life and you ruined me.
Vampires don't share.
Sapphire eyes narrowed watching from across the room, ears strained as Lucien listened to the conversation Jim and the attractive client were having, growing more and more annoyed by the second. Sometimes he truly cursed his advanced senses, and it was times like this he wished he was just, human. Why wouldn’t he? Not only did he have to put up with the clear obvious display but this persons thoughts. So charming. I wonder if he’s single? The answer was no and he felt like snarling it as he was beckoned over smiling sweetly and putting on his angelic act, playing bodyguard but not possessive lover… because there was no way…. This was not normal, to feel so angry, so insecure, so… fucking… what was the word? Oh and his hands. Lucien growled biting back on his fury for a few seconds before snapping and losing control, appearing in a blur and shoving the client up against the wall. “He’s fucking mine,” he hissed, slamming her head into the stone enough to give her brain damage before he put her out of her misery and paralysed her, dropping her in disgust. “Fucking humans.”
Jim would never know what silence sounded like.
