it wasn’t often that he specifically sought the company of his siblings. they were too big, larger-than-life. zhaohui was but a small blip who just happened to arrive in their vicinity by pure coincidence. it was in that fashion, again, that he bumped into his elder sister – blundering, with his gaze turned to the treetops in hopes of spotting a bird, and hands holding onto an expensive camera meant for spotting small, flitting things. today was bird-watching day, not meet-the-siblings day, so he didn’t have anything prepared to say. only: “uh...” and a quick bow of the head. “y-hey – hey! sis. sorry, i was trying to catch a glimpse at this bird – a red-naped trogon?” idiot, what does she care about that? “u-uh... sorry. what’re you doing out here?” @jin-xue​
