     “ U-umm... Smoker-taichou? ” Everyone else had been too afraid to approach the other, even as the man coughed ( clearly not from the smoke, he was practically made of it thanks to his powers ) and was sporting an irritated red nose and flush that only signaled a fever. Koby wasn’t sure if he was stupid or too nice, certain the Vice Admiral would be grumpier than his usual gruff nature due to feeling unwell. 

     So the plan was to be extra respectful, doing what he could in Tashigi’s stead as the woman was gone, normally the one to balance out the surly smoker. Providing a salute, he then let himself be at least a little at ease, earnestness leaking through his body language tenfold over. Truth be told, he couldn’t help but be worried. Pushing yourself through being sick was rarely a good idea, and so many people looked up to the man whether or not he liked it or was even aware, Koby including himself in that count. There was no shame in taking a break when your body decided it reached its limit or just needed time to recover after all – but the challenge laid in convincing the other of the same.

     “ Sir... you don’t look too well. T-the men are all worried, you know. ” His boisterous crew adored Smoker and for more than his strength and resolve, after all. “ Why don’t you take a break from the bridge? Everyone else will have it handled, if that’s what you’re worried about. ”

     “Do you think there is any chance that you could ask your Marines to wear their uniforms appropriately while in port?” asked Lyra. The Vice Admiral’s Marines were a rougher sort, the kind that skirted regulations on the regular. In Lyra’s opinion, Smoker was lucky to be so effective.

     It was sunny here on the pier. A welcome change from being haze gray and underway for the past few weeks. She pulled her coat off her shoulders to fold over her forearms, eager to get the extra heat off her shoulders. “Or perhaps it would be better put, do you think there is any chance they’d listen?”

You all are going right for my jugular aren’t you? But to be fair, there hardly is any popular ships with Tashigi because she really doesn’t interact with anyone besides Zoro ( not counting Smoker because he’s her boss and father figure so I don’t ship those two ). I mean maybe Nami but that was like only one scene and quickly forgotten about by many people. Nevertheless, I do love this ship and want to scream about it but all I do is shitpost silly things that might pertain to them. xD And if they weren’t romantically involved, I could see a BROTP as well since they are both swords-people from the East Blue. That alone is something they both share. But yes, my heart will always be a ZoTash shipper and apparently my mutuals knows this.

      Ten beli placed in the palm of Smoker’s hand without so much as needing to consider where it is. An overcharge in regards to fate’s predetermined amount, perhaps due in part to the following commentary, ❝ You are young still. There is plenty of room for you to grow. ❞ Spiritually, he means ─ of course. Or does he? It’s difficult to discern an elder’s words in this day and age.           “Well... we haven’t had too many so far, but it’s the quiet moments.” This would be a little rough to explain for either party. “Like when things are at peace, inside and out. 🙊what would my muse say their biggest flaw is.

     Lyra would say that her biggest flaw is over-commitment to her career, which has led to shortcomings in her abilities to develop interpersonal relationships. She has worked tirelessly her entire life to become as superior a Marine as she can be, and that has been accomplished at the expense of friendship and family. So dedicated to professionalism and military bearing, Lyra has extremely few friends, and is uncomfortable in the presence of other Marines outside of work because she is unsure of how to act. She also knows that she made the conscious decision to remain in the Navy after the birth of her daughter in order to do her part to keep her safe, but she will never not regret missing out on her childhood. She can’t have it both ways, and she understands that, but it still hurts sometimes. Lyra has no idea what a work-life balance is, and she knows full well that that’s not normal. She is just straight up terrible with personal relationships. She got married because it was expected of her, only accidentally had a child, and got divorced as soon as she could because it just didn’t feel right. Usually, interacting with other people on a personal level never feels right, and she has no idea why.

🚫what is one thing my muse wouldn’t want someone else to know about them?

     Lyra is extremely private and doesn’t want anyone to know anything about her, but her biggest secret that she deliberately keeps to herself is the existence of her daughter. Given her infamous reputation among pirates and her worsening standing among Marines, it is just best that she doesn’t have an obvious weak spot for exploitation. It’s just logical.

🙉what are two things that make my muse uncomfortable in conversation.

     Lyra has a serious and no-nonsense demeanor, so any sort of silliness, flirting, or goofiness generally uneases her. She just doesn’t know how to respond; is she supposed to joke, too...? or... laugh? What if she doesn’t find it funny? Another thing that uneases her is conversation about her Devil Fruit. She doesn’t advertise about it and doesn’t like people knowing about it (but with her new epithet, it’s hard to keep it a secret now). Her Devil Fruit is a sore spot with her. It has entirely unraveled her life, turned her professional reputation upside down, and is embarrassing to use. She’d rather pretend she never ate it.
