Last night I about ripped all my hair out, SO FRUSTRATED with how slow the internet was moving ... one of the only real downsides of #RVliving is that we are on a shared internet network. Aside from having a bathtub I can actually sit in (comfortably) and a backyard for our dogs (and kids) to run around in ... I think I'm looking forward to private, lightning fast internet the most once we buy our dream house here in Colorado (which will hoooopefully be soon). BUT, all the stress of slow internet was totally worth it after seeing the reaction of Jack + Jeff this morning when I woke up, absolutely LOVING their wedding photos and sharing the blog like crazy with their friends and family (and having everyone else love it too!). When we first started shooting weddings, we didn't really know WHAT we wanted - did we want high end fancy details, down-home DIY backyard affairs, beachy nuptials, or mountain adventures? Eventually we realized - we wanted ALL of those. But with such a wide range of wedding types, we had to figure out: what ties all of these together? And then it dawned on us: it was the types of couples we wanted to spend our weekends with. Good, honest people who love to adventure and travel, drink coffee, love dogs (and ugh, cats I guess ;) ), who value the marriage over the wedding, and don't shy away from eating some good food. To me, that's one of the best realizations I've ever had with our career as wedding photographers: we get to adventure and experience life's most joyous moments with our right kind of tribe - and we never, ever have the same wedding twice, and we're always surrounded by our favorite people. I can't remember the last time I was so excited for a #WeddingWednesday ... later tonight we're going to be sharing Jack + Jeff's gorgeously modern Palm Springs wedding and it's defffffinitely one you're going to want to pin ideas from!! Something that we got to do with Jack + Jeff that was really neat - we showed them their reception space while it was untouched by guests, before everyone was called in from cocktail hour. Hanging out with two of our favorite grooms in Palm Springs today ... soooo grateful this weekend is not nearly as warm as it was LAST weekend! And so grateful we made it through our wild adventure yesterday - check my InstaStory to catch what happened (two blizzards, shut down interstates, canceled flights, two barely-made it flights and 23.5 hours of traveling!).
