Hello… it's me!

I’m just stopping by to say that I’ve started to post a few Charlie edits again on my personal blog ( @margaretroses ) if anybody is interested! It’s a lot less pressure for me to post there every so often, but it’s still only a trickle for now :)

Blog update

Hello, I’m back again with another text post.

I’ve felt bad leaving this blog to rot, so to speak, this past year. Juggling my main blog, making edits for that, and this blog too has been a little difficult for me. As I’ve said many times before I still have plenty of ideas for original content but for me it means that I need to sit down and go through Charlie’s movies to find the right clips, which I’ve not had time to do for a while.

As such, I’ve made the hard decision to put this blog on hold and use my personal blog to post Chaplin edits. I’ll go through the CSC archive and reblog my existing edits to my personal blog over time. I hate to feel like a quitter but I don’t want to abandon Charlie altogether and I feel like this is the best way to avoid that and take off the pressure of having to provide a constant stream of edits and posts here. There are so many fantastic and dedicated Chaplin blogs out there who obviously work so hard, all who I reblog from on here, so please check them out for more frequent doses!

I’ll leave this blog open for the time being, as I may one day find the time to continue, but for now you are by all means welcome to follow my personal blog @margaretroses and hopefully catch some Charlie there!

Hello everyone, it’s me! :)

Since announcing my semi (…not really) hiatus in August, to work on some original content for this blog, I’ve started a second job which means that I’ve had less time to edit and as a result I’ve not put together as many posts as I would have liked to.

In spite of this, I’ve decided that I’ll just continue blogging again, though it will be very casual - maybe not every day and not many original content for the time being. I do still have plenty of ideas and a gif-series to finish, it’s just simply finding the time. Hopefully I’ll have more time at the beginning of the new year.

Once again, thank you for sticking around. I know I’ve made so many of the “excuse” posts recently. When I made this blog last year I think I seriously underestimated how much work goes in to running a focused blog as well as my main personal blog. Props to those who do it! If you desire regular doses of Chaplin, there are so many other brilliant blogs out there for you to follow, including (but not limited to) @chaplinfortheages and @littlebitsofchaplin :)

A little update.

Hello all! 

I’m just popping by to say that although this blog is on a hiatus, I am still working away, saving things to reblog in the future and making original content. It’s been a bit of a relief having less pressure on myself to create posts, but depending how things are at the time and how much I have ready to go, I’ll aim to be back posting by the first week or so in October.

Semi-hiatus!

As of today (25 August), this blog will be on a semi-hiatus for a little while. It just allows me to spend some time making material for this blog while alleviating some of the pressure that I’ve put on myself - props to other people who manage 2 or more blogs! I may still reblog posts that I come across, but there won’t be any original posts for a bit. 

I don’t plan to be away long, but I have plenty of post ideas to get on with. And of course you can still send messages, asks and requests if you like. In the meantime, you can look through my original posts and edits HERE!

Unfortunately, I won't be able to write up about my time in Geneva for a while. Most of my photos from Chaplin's World are on my brother's laptop and he's gone away for a month, but he wasn't able to transfer them before he went. I hope you'll all enjoy what edits and gifs I'll be posting for now anyway :)

I had the most wonderful time in Geneva this weekend, I’d love to have stayed longer but I’ll definitely return one day. In the meantime, I’m back home with my very own (furry) Chaplin ♡

I’ll revive an old blog and write up a post on my time in Geneva, with plenty of details and pictures from Chaplin’s World, as well as another post about my trip to London a few weeks ago, when I found Charlie’s statue in Leicester Square. I’ll post a link when it’s all done and I’ll soon get back to editing and giffing my to-do list. I hope you all enjoyed the mini-spam of Charlie in Switzerland while I was away :)
