She also doesn't sass/sarcasm him to death. When he denied being sentimental, she let the lie slip. She knows he lied, but also respects that-like her-he likes to keep his armor on. And her thanks, while confused, is sincere.
RIGGHT there is so much packed into that scene, so many details that make it such an great moment between them. i really just can't get over anything about that scene, how am i going to survive a season of this?
