I keep rewatching Jeanist’s scenes in Vigilantes and I’ll always be obsessed with how quick this guy is.
In the original series when All For One makes his appearance at Kamino Ward, Jeanist ties him up. No questions asked, and you can tell that his fibers are *squeezing* him. At this point he doesn’t even know who AFO is yet and he’s already right on his ass.
Right after that he makes the literal split second decision to yank his comrades out of AFO’s line of fire, even completely neglecting to save himself in the process.
And then in Vigilantes when the Sky Egg is about to come crashing down he’s the first to react, trying to hold it back up with his cables.
The word ‘hesitate’ is just not in Jeanist’s vocabulary and I love it so much. Especially considering that MHA describes the instinct of a true hero as when their body moves (to save someone) without thinking. Jeanist 100% has that instinct and just keeps on displaying it.
