@cpkuroo // tokyo drift au !
DRIFTING IN THE CITY IS MUCH DIFFERENT THAN IN THE COUNTRYSIDE , but perhaps that was something she should’ve considered before her first couple of car meets in tokyo ( & the races that inevitably ensued thereafter ). even well into her tenth, twentieth, & thirtieth meets, though, the differences between city & country continued to pronounce themselves : there were considerations about pedestrians, about police, & about traffic that she had never needed to consider before.
thrilling as they were for some drivers, kiyoko never found them inspiring enough to stay for very long. she liked the LEISURE of driving more than she did the COMPETITION ; driving with one’s head too far in the competitive mindset would lead to careless crashes & injuries. & tokyo was not a place where she wanted the attention of a race ( or a crash ) on her.
[ but the cars are nice. ] she doesn’t shy away from the ones that interest her, finding a nice model & slipping her fingers effortlessly across the edge of the hood. the tires are good, the frame nice, & yet ... she can’t see the engine at all. it makes her frown, brows downturning in a look she only makes when she’s driving with focus. kiyoko draws her fingers lower, to the front of the hood, & finds the snap to push it open. it feels like a holy grail to uncover. ❛ ... ah. ❜
