WHERE: Clinic WHEN: 25th of July WITH @jo-davis​

Fay sat down at the little bed thingy that patients were supposed to use, holding out their hands in front of them, slightly to the sky. “I CANNOT believe that you’re here. I know I’ve said that five times already now. BUT YOU ARE HERE!” They held a hand up to their forehead. “JO! Jo!” 

They had heard about the new doctor in town, but had been too busy vibing to pay it much mind. Then someone... they thought it had been Fletcher... had told them about Jo. Called her Jo. So Fay had hurried to the clinic at a slow pace to yell at her. “YOU ARE HERE!” 

“I’m so sure you’re real.”

SSDD || Mercy & Jo

Mercy broke in let herself in to Jordan’s apartment, closing the door behind her with a soft click. She moved slowly into the dark space, tucking her key lockpicks back into her jeans. “Jo? If you’re not passed out or dead, don’t shoot me, okay? I don’t want any of your shitty stuff.” 

It didn’t take long for Mercy to find the other woman, passed out on the floor near the couch. With a heavy sigh, she squatted down and pressed two fingers to Jordan’s neck. Her pulse was strong and steady. “Well, you’re not dead.” Another sigh and she was hefting the other woman over her shoulder, fireman-carry style, and taking her to her bedroom. She propped Jordan up on some pillows, took off her shoes, and then went back to the kitchen for a glass of water. 

When she came back, Mercy watched Jo for a long moment... before tossing the cold water right in her face. “Wake up, sleepyhead.”

How had he let himself get talked into this? Any meeting with Jo Korbel was a bad enough idea - dinner with Jo Korbel could only lead to disaster. Yet here he was in an effort to show good will to the woman at the invitation she’d offered. Ever punctual, he had arrived first and been promptly seated, staring at the opposite place setting and waiting for the blonde Senator. (What was it with people from the fucking Senate? Solis, Zafar, and now Korbel. It was becoming a trend.)

Any negative feeling was hastily hidden, though, in favor of forced friendliness. He stood as she arrived, immediately extending her a hand. “Mrs. Korbel. A pleasure to finally see you again in person,” he said, not meaning a single word of it. “I hope you don’t mind I took the liberty of ordering wine. The server’s got an attitude.”
