Premiere of the opera "Macbeth" by the British composer, conductor and record producer Lawrance Collingwood (1887-1982) on April 12, 1934 at London's Sadler's Wells Theatre. The photo shows Joan Cross (1900-1993) as Lady Macbeth during the hospitably greeting of her later murder victim King Duncan (Gerald Kassen).
