Jaylah stood on the stool in sickbay, tinkering with the mechanics of one of the medical beds, and finally noticed the ensign that was also in the room with her, not far from her. Scotty had been trying to teach her manners, so she took out her single earbud and turned toward the woman. 

“I do not think we have met. I am Jaylah,” she spoke, her arms still above her head, working on the machinery.

         “Why, yes. I clearly enjoy lying on the          floor. It’s comfy. It’s relaxing. You should          try it. 10 out of 10 - I recommend.”             ( @joannaxmccoy | starter call )

          “’m not asleep,” he grumbled from where he had been asleep only seconds before, eyes firmly closed in denial. “wish i was, but apparently that’s cancelled now.” his eyes opened and he peered at her, blinking slowly. “you’re the mini-mccoy, aren’t you.”

        Drag in, breath out. Gary knew that hiding behind the bleachers while smoking         was a bad idea. Yet, classes hadn't started - so it wasn't that bad right? He         was breathing out a small plume of smoke as he heard the squeaking of what         must be new shoes approaching him. Judging by experience it either was another         student who wanted to smoke or it was a certain someone who asked him about         his whereabouts five minutes ago. “What’s up?”, he asked while he took another         drag and slowly turned around.             ( @joannaxmccoy  | starter call )
