I am so sorry for my sudden impromptu ‘departure’ from RC9GN. You haven’t gotten rid of me yet. Now, I have been steadily working on Project Zero buuuttt updates on my life;

Things advanced during my job search. I’m a little less stressed, but I do have to work on a portfolio and once I’m done eating- I’m getting right to work on finishing. So!

Also, I’m going to be working on a few of my projects for RC9GN- and a brand new storyline I came up with. I’ll be releasing more on that soon! If anyone’s interested, I can talk about the polycule (Randy/Howard/Debbie/Theresa)!

I have a lot I’m brainrotting about, but this will all come once my portfolio’s finished. Wish me luck because I desperately need it-

Interviews today went well. Same company hiring two separate positions of which I am highly interested and qualified for. Interview at 10 and 4.

Friday, one more interview with a separate company. Feeling professional and good about these opportunities.

still looking for full-time jobs but i’ve given up on holding out for one, so i have my first interview for a part-time position next week wOOO

not an ideal job and not a ton of hours but i will take any money at this point if they offer a position

gotta drive 2 hours, hang out literally all afternoon in a Starbucks in an unfamiliar city doing interview prep, do the 40 min interview after the place closes (it includes an application and writing sample, fancy), then drive 2 hours back tonight

not super passionate about this job tbh BUT I like the location and the pay (it’s more than i could ever hope to make in public health without a master’s), and it sounds interesting enough, sooo we’ll see!! no job right out of school will be perfect buT the pay would help a lot while saving for a future degree

ya girl finally FINALLY got a part time job hot cheese that took so long

literally no one in my area is hiring. nothing full time, nothing part time. it should NOT have taken this long

i’m gonna try to stack another part time job on top of this and still apply for full time jobs in the meantime but ugh homegirl’s got a (small) source of income now i’m gonna scream

I just wanna say like, I really appreciate hearing about your job search stuff? I’m like four months away from being there myself and watching someone else (especially someone else w/ ADHD) go through the process is really comforting?

i’m glad!! thank u for writing in, this is very sweet!!

i mostly post about it bc i’ve been struggling with the job search and haven’t seen anyone else discussing it? like people either go straight to school or magically get job positions, and literally no one talks about the in-between stages. people are just silent until they can start bragging (at least in my experience).

so i wanted to talk about it! it’s a very isolating experience, and it’s hard, ESP with adhd. having to draft up a bunch of resumes and cover letters and then go on interviews and do applications and etc requires so much executive function, and the fact that there aren’t really deadlines makes it even more difficult.

i’m glad that you find it comforting! i’ve had lots of folks in similar situations reach out, and it’s comforting for me as well to know that others either are or will be in this spot. not that i want others to go through a hard time!! but it’s reassuring to know that i’m not the only one dealing with this and just trying to make it through.
