This will be brief because I can't stand to waste my precious time on such idiocy:
Yes, you probably have an opinion. Yes, you probably just made some judgments, or maybe you did your research and know a thing or two, but either way, you have an opinion on this girl, you have an opinion on this relationship, you have an opinion on this boy because of this relationship. You might think she should change some (or a lot of) things about her life. You might think she shouldn't. You might think she's a phase or a booty call or just completely worthless. Or you might think she's okay, she's harmless, she seems sweet. You might talk about this with your friends or with strangers, you might enjoy talking about how she's all wrong for him, or maybe about they're actually cute, or maybe about how she's a pothead whore who should go rot in hell.
I'm not here to stop you from doing anything above, because I know that I can't. I know that this is the era of the opinion and we all feel entitled to share ours. That's perfectly fine. I write about and share my opinion on things like this all the time, too.
What I'm saying is stop dragging these two individuals into it. Stop dragging their friends and family into it. Stop @mentioning them on Twitter. Stop trending inane topics about your opinion. The cold hard reality you need to face is that your opinion does not matter.
You might think you know what's best for Joe. Hell, let's even go as far as to say, yes, you do know what's best for Joe. You know exactly what kind of girl he should date and you want him to know he's with the wrong girl. Hey, guess what? He doesn't care. He will never care. Joe Jonas is not going to be pressured to dump a girl by his immatureass fans. All it's going to achieve is that he's going to hide her away more and probably hate his fans more. If someday, magically, you become actual BFFs with Joe Jonas, your opinion on his girlfriend will matter. Until then, you're just a fan. His only obligation to you is to make you music and be nice to you i he sees you on the street. That, I'm sorry to break it to you, is all he owes you.
I know I won't stop people from talking about it. I know I'll probably see her name trend yet again on Twitter. And really, that's fine. Just mind your manners. If you wouldn't say it to her face, don't tweet it to her. And if you would say it to her face, I'm sorry your parents never taught you how to be a decent human being.
