The final studio album by The Lovin' Spoonful. It featured Joe Butler on lead vocals for most of the songs. John Sebastian had left the band and knowing that any fan listening to a Lovin' Spoonful record would expect to hear John Sebastian's voice, the band apparently decided it would be a good idea to add "featuring Joe Butler" to the end of the band name on the album cover. Perhaps it would let people know before even buying the album that this would be a different Lovin' Spoonful experience or at least lessen the blow when fans listened to their new album and realized that John Sebastian was nowhere to be found within its grooves.
The album was originally titled "Till I Run With You." The title was later changed but first pressings of this album have the title "Till I Run With You" on the record label but the new title on the cover.
My copy is an original 1969 first pressing with the title "Till I Run With You" on the record label.
