Work I’m Proud of: G.I.Joe VS Cobra, Joecon 2009 Special
@siphersaysstuff and I wrote a series of canonical G.I.Joe comics for Fun Publications. This one is my favorite of the Joe books, for three reasons. The first was that it let me take my hand at creating a Cobra Manifesto, summed up in the Baroness’s speech over the intercom (which was supposed to be scattered across several pages but there was a miscommunication).
The second, was that while the story is ostensibly about an off-the-books Crimson Twins operation being foiled by Action Force, G.I.Joe and the Comandos Heroicos, the story is really about the nameless Cobra soldiers. For the heroes, this is a rollicking adventure with jetpacks and explosions and cool helicopters. For the Vipers, this is a horror movie.
Third, is I got to make a life-long friend of mine into a canonical G.I.Joe character and then have him immediately hurled to his death off a railing.
