“Radiologic” Backgrounds!
Finished the last report in Radiology today! While making these reports, I realized that blurred and/or distorted images of the film can actually be a really nice background for the presentation. Wish I knew that at the start of the rotation. 😁

They say that songs are like people. The melody and music is like the appearance and its personality, while the lyrics is the soul of the song. When I like a song, I usually look up the lyrics and even fall in love with the song even more when it has a very meaningful message. Unfortunately, when I post lyrics on my social media accounts, it is usually associated with me, on my current state and/or my own hugots. Why can’t we appreciate the message for what it is? hahaha. Anyways, I hope you’ll appreciate these select song lyrics that way I wanted it to be appreciated. <3
Medical School in Tagum City! <3
I already heard rumors about this agreement since last year, and I’m quite happy to know about this and will be fully supporting this effort by both institutions. This is because, once fully operational, this Doctorate program will be the first state-run medical school in Davao region, Southern Mindanao even. This will truly help not only those who aspire to be medical doctors in the nearby areas, but also to the people living there because there will be more home-grown doctors ready to serve. I honestly hope that this will push through in the near future!

Witty Filipino Tweets (WFT) Wednesdays
I’ve been a Twitter user since 2009 (although I changed accounts around 2012). There are tweets that are just too witty to be forgotten. I have a fatty liver?!?
Yesterday was our first day in Radio. A resident asked me to be her “guinea pig” in performing a whole abdomen ultrasound. I said yes, of course, because there might be some incidental findings that might be medically significant (aside from having free ultrasound examination). The only finding was I had a fatty liver. Fortunately, that was the only significant result and there was no gallbladder polyp, or stones in my kidneys or gallbladder. I guess I should *start* dieting now.
Medical Learning: Ultrasonographically, fatty liver is more hyperechoic than the kidneys, that’s why it’s important to visualize them both in the same field.
