Uganda

I just returned from a week-long shoot in Uganda, my first trip to Africa. It was an eye-opener, but life affirming at the same time. The highlight of my week was playing in a soccer match with locals in Masindi, alongside some College of Charleston players who were representing College of Hope. John Barnhardt and I had our hands full, shooting separate projects for Palmetto Medical Initiative, SeaCoast Church and College of Hope. Valley

Production starts on Valley tomorrow (Feb 5th) in South Carolina. The film is Dennise Gonzalez's thesis flick for SCAD, with Allison Carroll producing. I'm happy to be on board as the director of photography.

The weather is kinda crap my most people's standards, but the cloud cover will be great for shooting a supernatural horror flick in the woods. As one person said today, the sky in this weather is like "God's soft-box". Let's hope we don't get rained out.
