“Some deaths, on the other hand were just head-scratches, so strange that they almost defied belief.”

It's time to plan a perfect m-
Nah, just kidding.
My first impression (based on the title alone) was the procedure and process of the coroner to examine a dead body and what is giving away the cause of death in detail, hence, the title. Turn out I was (maybe) 50% right. I thought it was the textbook on the dead body's examination. But more than half of it was about the experience and more stories about dead bodies.
I love the detail about how to be a coroner (even though it can't be used in my country), the detail of the investigation and how they compare the actual work with the fictional show. My assumption was a coroner only worked in the morgue. Imagine my surprise that a coroner sometime does more detective job than the person who informed the next kin regarding the death.
I might be disappointed as the book doesn't really reach my imagination's expectation. Regardless, it was a good reading.
