Memorial Day Weekend
Well, it’s been a busy weekend here in Hell. Just today, we rented out an astounding amount of kayaks and canoes! Those lucky people got to spend a couple of hours out on the water on our beautiful, local chain of lakes. However, that’s certainly not the highlight of this weekend. Today, we had a young boy turning 12 years old come in with his mom. For his birthday, not only did they go on a kayak trip, he also got the chance to be the Mayor of Hell for an hour! What an honor/pity.
The mayor/hour package comes with a certificate that we read out loud to everyone in the store, and it is quite entertaining. For the more adventurous/foolhardy, there is also a Mayor for the Day package! This entails the aforementioned certificate, as well as a Mayor of Hell t-shirt and a special Mayor coffee mug.
