Young Guns 2 (1990). Billy the Kid and his band of outlaws are pursued across New Mexico territory by Sheriff Pat Garrett, who the young gunslingers must face-off with if they are to reach the safety of the border.

Defying the odds, Young Guns II is the rare sequel that's actually better than the first. The story structure is more interesting, the script tighter, the stakes higher, with more time given to the interpersonal dynamics between the group. It's still deeply flawed, but there's an energy to this one that I think was missing in the original, and it's genuinely a pretty fun, albeit very sad little Western. 6.5/10.
