Laclasica Chair
Designed by Jesús Gasca for Stua
The newest chair from Jesús Gasca, the Laclasica Chair (2010) showcases this designer's ability to combine the traditional principles found in classical chairs with the needs and aesthetics of modern design. A beautiful, artful and swooping form, the Laclasica suits a variety of interiors. Constructed of solid sculpted and molded wood, it is new and fresh but also feels like a chair that's always been around. In other words, it's timeless. Stua is a company that will spend years carefully developing an idea. And even after all that time, the design team will study the prototype to decide if it belongs in the collection. "Will it make an impression on people?" they ask. "And will it be enjoyed for a long time?" For the Laclasica Chair, and all the other pieces in the Stua assortment, the answers to those questions were "yes." Made in Spain.
