This rare specimen is an Excited John. Usually spotted when getting rare loot, foiled MtG cards, and juicy crits in any RPG.

Not much to say about this one, so I’m not gonna put a description in. ... Wait..

Sketch-a-Day 2-12-16

Here we have what is widely believed to be the most common form of John, the Tired John. This form of John is seen daily, crawling out of his bed in search for a tasty bowl of Reese’s Puffs. When there is no such nourishment, the Tired John will either transform into the Grumpy John or go back to sleep in the middle of the kitchen.

I don’t know why these started turning into nature documentaries about myself, but I’m okay with it.

Sketch-a-Day 2-11-16

For Monday night’s piece, we have Grumpy John.

The Grumpy John is a very common form of John that is mostly seen when losing PvP matches in Guild Wars and when playing with G-Rank Hunters who don’t know how armor skills work.

Sketch-a-Day 2-10-16

Wow, the eyes came out way better on this one. Hooray, progress! I’m thinking I’ve found a way to draw eyes that aren’t crappy, and I’m hoping I can be consistent with the shape and stuff.

Sketch-a-Day 2-9-16

Here’s the first facial expression piece. What I’ve done here is made a template of my head, and I’ll be practicing different facial expressions on this bad boy.

You may have noticed two things:

1) Where’s the piece for the 8th? Well, I took a day off because I wasn’t feeling good. Like, at all. Normally I’d do another piece along with today’s, but I just can’t do that right now. So I’ll be missing a day. I may make up for it tomorrow, but I’m not too sure.

2) My God, John! You’re so handsome! I know.

Sketch-a-Day 2-7-16 | Vydd - Monster Hunter

Woah! Another Vydd? Yeah, I just stick with the same names for like, every game. Deal with it. Anyway, this guy is my main man. He’s my first Monster Hunter character, ever, and I’ve used Charge Blade with him for too damn long. I’ve only now switched to Sword and Shield / Bow, because my weapon usage on my guild card was pathetic. It’s like, 20ish hunts with each weapon, then almost 1000 with Charge Blade. Oops.

I think my eyes are getting better, in shape, that is. These eyes aren’t drawn with the best detail, but at least I don’t cringe when I look at these eyes. This sketch was kinda done hastily, as I have to wake up for class in about five hours. Anyway, tomorrow starts a week of expressions! Or at least, a period of time where I practice expressions whose length may be less than or equal to that of a week’s.

Sketch-a-Day 2-5-16 | Valia - Human Guardian

Another GW2 character, surprise! It’s not a surprise, actually. There’s not much to say about this one, besides the fact that I’m not sure if I like how this came out. Like, at all. I’m pretty close to taking it down, but then I won’t have a piece for today.

Yeah, it’s official, I’m taking next week to work on expressions/faces and stuff. My lack of ability to draw eyes/faces is killing me so much.

Sketch-a-Day 1-1-16 - 1-2-16

I got a Wacom tablet for Christmas, so I figured I should finally start buckling down on my art. So I’m gonna do a sketch a day for the entirety of 2016. I’m posting my progress on a blog so if I stop my daily sketching, I’ll feel guilty and start up again. Here’s hoping for a year of improvements and doodles.
