So I finally watched the ending to MH Stories after all these years as I never properly finished the game.
I saw Ratha’s Blighted and White Miracle Form and it really made me go “ Wow that really looks like Red-Eyes and Blue-Eyes.”
Even the Blighted Fireballs look like Red-Eyes Dark Inferno Fire Blast.
Which made me think of something for Ratha in all the Crossovers. What if Ratha’s Blight form ended up coming back but in a new way thanks to their bond with the Protagonist? Like it’s a controlled form Ratha can take on alongside their White Miracle Form.
Something which in the Yu-Gi-Oh Crossover can be obtained with help from Blue-Eyes and Red-Eyes.
Maybe the Blight form returns as a sort of counter reaction to Dark Magic caused by the Millennium items or Shadow Games?
I see Rider calling the Blight form Black Scale since this is a power revived by their bond. The darkness that cloaks Ratha looks protective in nature rather than sickly as a fierce red aura can be seen underneath the scales.
So when Rider and Ratha travel to Yugioh’s World it isn’t just the 2 of them as Rider has another small companion in the form of a Cohoot.
After the first MH Stories game ended and Navirou went back home, Rider ended up taking in and raising a Cohoot to help with quests. A good companion to have in the skies scouting for you and to carry on letters.
Also unrelated to the Cohoot when the gang heads for Duelist Kingdom, they thankfully don’t have food woes as Rider comes very prepared and cooks them all meals. Mai still joins as she only has snacks, and a proper meal sounds good instead of just having candy. Plus, Rider is always willing to share even if Mai was a bit prickly at first.
A Cohoot sounds like a fun addition. Plus the bird can be treated as an unknown species of owl so it wouldn't raise any alarm. Also Rider would cook for the group since snacks aren't exactly a healthy meal.
