The 32-year-old spent three years at Fulham before joining Championship side Leicester City in the 2011-2012 season.

Looking ahead to Southampton...

After a nice little victory midweek let's hope we can carry that into the game Saturday. Here's John Pantsil's take on the match... "We're looking forward to it, everyone in the team. We're ready to get our first home win. "We believe in the fans and without them we can't do it, so we want to do this for our supporters. It's important because getting home wins will bring the fans together behind us. "When I'm playing, they're the most important thing for me. They spend money to buy season tickets and we must remember that on the pitch. We'll do every possible to make them happy, as well as ourselves."

What I Think We Need...

Now that we have a new manager in place in the form of Martin Jol (still gutted it isn't me), we need to address the issue of summer transfers. We have long needed cover in a few areas, and with Europe looming once again (for the 3rd time in our history) we need it more than ever.

Left Back:

We need a left back.  With Salcido most likely on his way out we need an adequate replacement.  With Konchesky repeatedly rumoured to be heading back to SW6, would we take him? Well, he didn't exactly leave in a big mess, he simply tried to move onto bigger things and it backfired, much like Sir Woy did.  Showed time and again he could do a job for us.

Right Back:

Again, a right back is needed.  With the iconic John Pantsil also liekly to be on the move this summer, we need cover for Chris Baird.  Being linked atm with Alan Hutton, and he is someone I would definitely take.  Superb going forward, solid defensively, just what we need.

Centre Midfield:

With Danny on his last legs and Zolly looking likely to leave  we need a quality playmaker in the middle of the park.  Someone I'd like to see at the club would be someone like Kevin Strootman from Utrecht. 

Attacking Wingers:

Someone to take the burden off of players like Dempsey.  Possibly could move Dembele to the left and get a striker in to accompany Bobby.

Striker:

Someone like Pablo Osvaldo would suit me.  Top quality striker to take the load off of Bobby, who is able to bring others in to play as well.

The kind of team I'd like us to play next season would be something like this....

      Zamora Osvaldo

It's being rumoured that

6 players might be offloaded come the end of the season - John Pantsil, Zoltan Gera, Eddie Johnson, Diomansy Kamara, Bjorn Helge Riise and Kagisho Dikgacoi.

The only ones out of these that I'd like to see us keep are JP and Zolly.

JP - yes, he's had an on and off season when he's played, has constantly got us out of trouble and is a real fans favourite, and always puts in 110%.

Zolly - was brilliant for us in the Europa League, but probably less effective in the league.  Saying that, Sparky's rarely played him in his team, so hasn't really had a chance to prove himself to him.
