The looming weens stream notes
alternative title: transmission from socks' pocket stream
@brideofmirrors: warp i'm weaving on a loom during stream and the vertical strings are called a warp and i just wanted you to know that i was like omg warp... like from stream @batherik: I'm guessing warp knows their looms. such as a weighted loom perhaps @funeral-lilies: looms are fun! i've done weaving on a backstrap loom @litloverscorsetlaces: A little il-loom-ination
@warpweight: she warp on my weft til my heddle becomes rigid. ok thats it from me
@les-gnossiennes-fantomatiques: stranger than you've weened it
Elizabeth Welch as Carlotta, Jim Weitzer is André (he is a former Raoul actor); Giri is Rebecca Eichenberger from a google search (also, awesome chatelain as always)
[on the excellent video quality] @motelpearl: this mcdonalds pepsi quality @funeral-lilies: mcdonalds sprite so crisp
@socksatwork (@meilas): Socks: what can we get for you? Socks’ pocket: [screaming]
@from-aldebaran: Don’t think about the way things might have ween @litloverscorsetlaces: Can it be Christween?
@almostemilyy: there's something SO charming about the really young christines. all of them have been so sparkly and sunshiney
The boot is from 10.04.2022
The most hand ranking by @wheel-of-fish: 1. Saulo Vasconselos 2. Brad Little 3. Gant. Notable mentions of Thaxton and Crawford in the chat
That scene in the end of STYDI, when Ted reaches out, almost toucing Christine's face, and feels like he is about to say somehting to her....
@les-gnossiennes-fantomatiques: its ween in gold
Fic recommendation! The Patron Saint of Lost Voices by @almostemilyy
[on il muto] @warpweight: i know it happens every week. but i love when he laughs at his own joke
@symphony-in-a: And now the phantom is like yeah you know what would make this extra fun? MURDER
@symphony-in-a: This was the late 1800s in Paris you know the crowd would be weirdly stoked by all this. They had nothing else to entertain them as well @wismoth: oh 1881 Paris would revel in that shit the British operas would be so jealous of the scandals
John Riddle's Raoul moistening video
Chat in the break discussing autumn, and how perfect jazz, fuzzy socks and cinnamon rice pudding is for the season; also winter birding (owls and warblers!). Tea and elderberry pies mentions
Birds mentioned:
[on the Red Death] @ravens-repine: happy dia de los muertos
@from-aldebaran: Just love how all the managers would have had to do is ask Mme Giry one question and she would spill the tea like Niagra Falls
@funeral_lilies: idk man raoul just gives me spongebob vibes all the time @funeral_lilies: l'eponge de chagny
Chat, it is fathering today! appropriately so, as @briarlily said, "ted is high key daddying"
@littlelattewanders: Sometimes i just think about "the ducks warring in" and want to hear it so bad [Peter Karrie interview excerpt for context]
Is that Jeremy Stolle in PONR?
The PONR blocking and the way Emilie played in particular gives way more control to Christine in this scene, both emotionally as she doesn't try to run, chases after Phantom herself, and in general as she outsretches a hand to stop the policemen. Interesting to see this interpretation
Emilie's gentle kiss in the final lair, the absolutely pathetic, heartbreaking last 'I love you!' from Ted... A very charged Final lair
Thou Shalt Kill (2025): WTF Did I Just Watch?
The 2025 thriller Thou Shalt Kill is one of those: “What the fudge did I just watch?” *Fill in the “F” any way you like, but I like to be more family friendly here.* This is not in a bad way, however, the film twists and turns nicely. The ending itself was a brilliant move by the filmmakers. One that snuck in under this old guy’s radar. The story Shannon, a young woman struggling with alcohol…
An opt-down on “and I’m Javert” here
also love how Javert starts out calm and collected here, a fairly average prison guard, before devolving into a growling law gremlin by the end of the musical
