American jazz guitarist John Schofield (born 1951), linked with Miles Davis but also a musician who has blended all genres whilst collaborating with as many musicians as will let him play with them. His recording career started in 1974 and from 1978 he is credited with releasing 48 albums under his own name, and has collaborated on over 110 albums in other collectives since 1974. In other words he practically lives music.
