It is the best sweater in the world! So warm and soft! Below is the sweater in question, the only difference is the design isn't carried onto the arms.
I decided to wear what I call my "John" sweater to school today. I took off my coat and some random person walking through the hall asked if I was a Sherlockian. I have never been so happy to be recognized by a sweater.

I know money’s an issue for me, so I find when looking for these things the easiest (or cheapest) option is to find out what the garment is called and then you can find the exact same thing without having to spend $80 because it’s a “John sweater” instead of a cable knit sweater.
That being said, if a set isn't "wallet conscious" (heck, even if it is) feel free to ask for a cheaper option. We're here to help!

John Sweater Update
I decided to do a quick update on my birthday wishlist post. I've been searching for a "John Sweater" for the past couple weeks, so that when my birthday finally rolls around I might actually be wearing it.
I started out looking for men's sweaters (seemed fitting because I wanted a REAL "john sweater") but most of the nice cable knitted ones were really expensive. So, I decided to look for lighter weight knits, which makes sense given the temps. I had been searching for sweaters at the end of May in US stores and I wasn't coming up with anything, so I decided to widen the net. Well, last night I finally found one.
Good news - I found the perfect one and it's a reasonable price.(i think)
Bad news - they don't ship off the UK mainland. I thought I'd post this anyway just in case it was helpful to someone else! So, UK Sherlock Fans if you want a women's John sweater here's your chance! check it out
