There it is, my try at John's jumper for my beloved thebarofgold. The pattern by Trudi Brown and Ashley Harp can be accessed here if anyone would like to knit one themselves. However, I adjusted the collar because it should have been something of a loose turtle neck to be turned down, but it looked a bit off to us. It was great fun to do and will hopefully be a joy to wear!

Time to watch an episode or two of Agents of Shield while I keep working on my sweater...

I want to knit a lot but I'm already tired so I don't know if I'll last more than one episode >~<

Thanks! I searched at Polyvore before and I never found one that's matches John's sweater exactly. But now that I know (and I won't be able to get it, lol) I can search for something similar on polyvore :)

Well I found out but I also found out that I can't get that one exactly ^_^; I found some alternatives though:

Chance Stripped Tee from Barneys New York $85

This seems a bit too light compared to John's. The price is a bit steep too. In terms of style, I think this is the closest one.

Dropped Shoulder Stripped Top from Forever 21 $13.80

This one has the perfect color and the prefect price, except... You guessed it. The pocket and the sleeve length are different from John's shirt. It's a good budget alternative though

Petite Navy Chunky Knit Jumper from Debenhaus £20

Right color, okay price, but not really digging the knit texture on the chest :|

Stripe Sailor Shirt by Bassike $179 

Wow yeah $180 for a shirt thanks but no thanks. The stripes are a bit too slim too.

The Wear Sherlock blog said that John's shirt was Navy/White but it was so dark I thought it was black/white, so I searched for b/w shirts too.

Cowl neck Striped Shirt by Jack Grace $13.20

Except for the collar, I think is is pretty much fit the bill? Keep in mind stuff from China often differs from the picture.

Contrast Trim Striped Knit Top by Tokyo Fashion $27

I like the fit and the style but the red trims kinda made it a different look altogether. You can always pretend it's bloodstains from punching Sherlock

Striped Long Sleeve Knit top by Maymaylu $25.60

I like this better than the other knit one, but the skeleton kinda throws it off. Again you can pretend it's another symbolism (for johniarty fans maybe? :3)

Moku Women's Monochrome Jumper £18

This one is also a good alternative! Price is okay. Color is a bit off and the knit texture is also a meh, but it's a pretty good alternative.

As for me, I might get the cowl neck one or the pocket one. Hope that helps!
