raw & tender hearted love.
I've always asked Jesus to give me a tender heart like His own, one that bleeds and beats in sync with His, but staying tender hearted in all of the recurring, painful situations that have come up lately has been so hard!
Finally this morning after much frustration, raw and honest I told Jesus that I'm tired of feeling like I'm continually dying, by long suffering over people I deeply love. In the midst of rejection and oppression... it's hard remaining in unconditional love, offense free! Our hearts must remain tender for Jesus's heart to be visible through us! Today I asked Jesus for a love breakthrough.
Jesus addressed me like this, "Here is how to measure love—the greatest love is shown when a person lays down his life for his friends.." John 15:13 Laying down your life is the greatest act of love.
Jesus continually gave himself for people, some of who would never receive His love. In His most loving way, this morning He reassured me, "Emily, dying is apart of my love."
Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.
John 15:13
Sometimes I forget I'm loved by the King.
