This is what my mentor, the late, great #symbolist author and #Egyptologist, #JohnAnthonyWest would refer to as “a stone card catalog”... It is here the sacred teachings of #Djehuty were recorded. The great initiator Djhuty, (or #Tehuti depending which school of thought you subscribe too) was the scribe of all #scribes, the inventor of writing. This principle of #cosmic #Wisdom more commonly Known by the #Greek corruption, #Thoth. The sacred teachings of Thoth are at the root of alchemy and the #Hermetic mystery tradition and alchemy. This is early inspiration for what we find in the #EmeraldTablet. (Notice how I said Tablet, singular, and not tablets, plural). You have to FEEL the stone in #Egypt. You have to touch it and CONNECT with it❗️ In addition to connecting with these sacred sites, I’m also very much looking forward to re-connecting with Sohaila next week. Sohaila was my mentor, the late great #JohnAnthonyWest official tour guide for several decades. She can not only read the glyphs fluently but after YEARS of working with JAW has developed a deeper understanding for the symbolist approach of RA #Schwaller #DeLubicz. Beyond feeling the stone, I also feel it’s important that we have the balance of a female voice in a male dominated field. Very much looking forward to working with Sohaila as we carry on tradition. The MAGIC of the OBELISKS. Did you know there are more obelisks in #Rome than anywhere else in the World? There are five Roman obelisks and a number of modern ones, and eight of them are original obelisks taken directly from #Egypt. Rome has more ancient obelisks than what’s actually remaining for obelisks in Egypt. Many sit side-by-side, reminiscent of a tuning fork, before the entrance of Christian churches. #JohnAnthonyWest suspected they were and #LucyLamie, faithful sidekick and step-daughter of French Hermiticist, R.A. #Schwaller de Lubicz, theorized that they carried the exact fractions of the degree of latitude of the #Temple where they sit.
