I’d just turn to you and talk to you, but you don’t seem to be much in a talking mood with the tv show and the coloring book and the body language study im currently doing, so i’m going to send this to you over tumblr and i need your opinon

John bone story line,

and i actually need you to respond, not just “cool” or anything like that

Book 1

We are introduced to John and Edward,

We learn that john’s older brother dies and his niece Vallery is coming to live with him. While this is happening John and Edward are dealing with the current war between Mages and Shapeshifters

One of their prisoners get away.

The prisoner is working with a necromancer to kill john, sending a wrath into john’s appartment and attack’s vallery.

This is how vallery leans about the magic. John and Edward capture the wrath in a mirror and bring vallery (and the mirror) to meet the Lords (hey look its you)

In an effort to hunt down the prisoner they enlist the help of edward’s sibling Stephanie a bounty hunter. They track him to an old warehouse where he and several others are there, where the mages working with him summon a demon, the demon hails a lord named Chaos.

The prisoner gets away as John and edward fight, (and deal with several people dying)

They head back to headquaters to find that it was under attack by different shapeshifters.

They clear it out, but not before they’re prisoner kills himself claiming that the cult of choas will “slaughter them all” etc end of the world shit.

John goes to start looking into the cult when something kidnaps vallery.

The book ends on a cliffhanger of her being sucked into the ground and disappearing.

Book 2

John begins looking into the cult of chaos while trying ot find vallery. The kidnapping was used as a distraction while more stuff happens in the background. Since the kingdom is already weakened from the first attack, a second one this time lead by the undead takes place, here we learn alistair (an important character later) is a necromancer

You find out one of the lords is a traitor and kills the others, but most of the magical community doesn’t know.

John has found vallery, but she’s been infected by a shapeshifter (the spider) and he fights to bring her back to the kingdom. IN his absence, the traitor lord frame’s john for killing the lords, and while edward takes vallery into the medical bay, john is now on the run from the kingdom.

He gets into contact with alistair, who tells him it was a necromancer that brought the attack and most likely kidnapped vallery. John puts the pieces together to find out that Lord (zac or something) is the traitor and goes to fight him head on.

John’s an idiot and loses, managing to run away (or crawl) and Lord Zac is able to take control of the kingdom. The book ends on another cliffhanger as john blacks out.

Book 3

John wakes up in the midst of a small clan of mages, hiding from the kingdom but who don’t work for the cult of chaos. They explain to him what is going on, who the cult is and reveals that Lord Zac has damaged his leg beyond repair. John learns the prophecy that the son of the Greatest Necromancer and the Greatest Witch will become the vessle of chaos, a horrible god intent on destroying the world. The only thing to stop chaos is one of the six God Killers. A series of weapons with unspeakable power.

Edward is trying to keep vallery under control as she fights with her new shapeshifter instincts, and is torn between doig his duty and bringin john a known fugative in, and keeping his friend safe. Sensing his reluctance, Lord Zac brings in Morganna from another kingdom to do Edwards job.

Morganna questions Edward on john, as Edward tries to tell her that John is innocent, he would never kill the lords. A fight breaks out and Edward escapes, also becoming a fugitive, but loses his eye.

John gets a hold of edward when he hears the news and gives him his location. THe two hide in edward’s house introducing Edward’s wife a healer to the story. She fixes up john’s leg as best she can it doesn’t work and now he requires a cane.

Edward and John request the help of Stephanie again, who brings Alistair in for help as well. Alistair tells them that Lord zac is a member of the cult of chaos and is trying to recruit members from the kingdom and has places a trial on Vallery. Planning on killing her as she is now considered to be “a part of the enemy” since she is now a shapeshifter

They set out to trick lord zac, gaining the help of Morganna and they show the kingdom who zac is.

Zac is arrested but before he can be put into prison he is killed by an unseen attacker.

Now with no Lord’s in charge, the council announces new lords. Edward is one of them. He takes Vallery on as his apprentice in an effort to save her from the death penelty of trial, and john is given a prosthetic leg. In an effort to help him walk, Alastair gives him his cane from the library.

Book 4

Now with the cult of Chaos creating more drastic attacks on both mages and mortals, john is travelling trying to figure out the how to stop them and see if he can locate any of the god killers.

Vallery is struggling with keeping her shapeshifting abilities under control, and edward is stressed by the events of being a new lord.

John has started a romance with Morganna.

There is a big quest in finding a Dagger, that is a god killer, that resides in the underwold. John’s little team goes there to find out that the demon holding the god killer is guarding a mirror.

The mirror is said to be the gateway to the realm where the gods reside and its cracking.

In an effort to get the dagger from the demon a fight ensuse, and vallery loses control, throwing the demon into the mirror and causing it crack more, breaking a small section off. John witnesses several lights escaping from the mirror, and the demon tells them several gods have escaped into the world of mortals. Many of the gods are angry with humanity and are siding with chaos, be careful these gods will take vessels and the cult of chaos will grow stronger. The book ends with the news that the cult of chaos has attacked Edward’s family and there is no survivors.

Book 5

Edward is dealing with the loss of his wife and son rather poorly and john is watching as the cult of chaos goes stronger, the world around him falling apart.

Still trying to find the god killers, john has discovered the location of a Cutlass that is rumored to be a god killer.

He goes after it alone beliving the person who holds it is just an old man, however when he gets there he discovers that the man is now a vessel of the God of Time. He tortures john a bit, has a little fun then sends him into the future to show him what happens when john triees to fight choas. Being shot forward several years john finds himself in a complete wasteland of what once was new york city. The sky is red and buildings have crumpled.

John is immediately seized by a group of men who tie him down and start interrogating him. Asking about the location of the rebels they cut off parts of jogn’s hand until he will tell them (catorizing the wound with the cutlass god killer so he doesn’t die of blood loss)

after losing his elbow, the building is over run by a group (the rebels) who grab john and bring him back to their base. John finds out that the rebels is the group of mages from the kingdom still trying tofight Chaos. Future john bones and Edward are part of it, and john is horrified to discover that both of them let t hemselves be possessed by gods.

John learns that the vessel the prophecy spoke of was the son of himself and Morganna. Future john tells him he vaugley remembers this, as his memory is wiped but tells him the trip should only last a few hours before he is brought back to the present.

John witnesses the future, and is told by older jhon that the world will begin to end around the time john gets a new trench coat. John passes it off as a joke.

John watches as Edward and future start to fight a young boy (sam his son) out in the square, he watches as the god chaos briefly leaves Sam in an effort to kill him however he notices, as Edward goes for the kill, not knowing that sam is no longer pocessed. Believing that the boy is now innocent, john leaps forward to grab him, dragging him out of the way of edwards blade, only for his trip into the future end and john is brought back to the present along with Sam. John is in so much pain from he is willing to do anything to stop it. He hears a voice in his head telling him that if lets the god in, he can end the pain and help eventually kill chaos without harming his son. It is the god of balance, telling john that he will bring balance between good and evil.He says yes and the pain ends. Sam is taken away for protection.

He has now made the prophecy come true sooner. They no longer have to wait for Morganna to become pregnant as he had brought a perfectly good vessel into the past. John can not remember everything about his trip to the future.

Still missing his arm, john is going to talk to Alistair in the library to ask about the god killer but walks in on alistair with sam, alistair has begun a ritual to transport sam into the hands of the cult and it is revealed that Alistair is actually the traitor of the kingdom.

Sam is teleported away as Alistair calls to the god of chaos to possess him in an effort to stop john but he isn’t an appropriate vessel and ends up nearly exploding. his rib cage is exposed, and he’s in agony, however he has left over power from the god and can not die from his injuries, he can only heal slowly, the god escapes and john brings alistair to the medbay, where he is trapped in the bed.

Alistair tells john that he is only doing what he must for the cult but he had called on chaos to possess him in an effort to save john’s son, saying he isn’t as bad as john thinks “that i’ve got you this far” . John is about to attack him but blacks out before he can.

Sleeping in the bed next to him, alistair whispers to the god inside john, asking what his goal is. THe God of balance replies that he will return true balance to the world, to do that humanity must be destoryed as they have lived too long and tipped the scales in their favor.

Alistair answers “yes my lord”

The last chapter is the doctor’s explaining to john about his arm, edward saying that he will help john find his son, and morganna givnig john a gift of a new trenchcoat.

Book 6

The book picks up with john and Edward and vallery in the seventh circle of hell, trying to find another god killer, john has a new prosthetic arm.

It is shown here that john sometimes blacks out and lets the god inside him take over on occasion, and sometimes its hard to tell who is who.

The god killer is destroyed before they can get to it, and edward gets angry. It is revealed that edward has been having issues with his anger since the death of his wife and son.

Trying to locate the last three god killers, John has realized that the cult of of chaos are doing the same. The sky is turning red and alistair reveals that that means sam has been possessed and now chaos is walking around on earth

They hurry to the location of the scythe God killer, they show up to see the cult is already there, and that Sam is with them. He is clearly possessed by the god of chaos. He started destroying john’s retrieval team, edward being flung to the side like a rag doll.

Sam starts to yell, clutching as his head and it is shown that he is fighting the god, trying to push him out. John sees this and calls out to sam. This angers chaos and he retreats summoning a bunch of hell spawn and shape shifters to defend him. Some time in the fight Edward is possessed by the god of war.

John goes back to the kingdom, demanding that alistair tell him how to save his son. Alistair tells him there is no way unless john could get chaos to leave his body. Upon asking how, alistair tells him he doesn’t know, but Gabriel Ford might be able to help (a character mentioned breifly in the last books)

gabriel ford is a werewolf who works for the kingdom, and john asks him how to get the god out of sam, he has to leave willingly.

They go to hunt down the second god killer, showing up only to an empty field full of dead bodies. The god is getting stronger and probably killed these people simply for sport.

John is trying to think of ways on how to get the god to leave willingly once he’s at home, laying beside morganna as he tries to sleep. He closes his eyes but instead of falling asleep the god wakes up and begins walking around a john, he goes back to the kingdom to start going through the library, looking for an item unknown to the reader) Edward finds him and confronts him, taking a moment to realize what the god is doing. He tries to take him down, but Balance lets john take control right before edward hits him. Edward begins to explain wto john what is going on with the god and john questions if the same thing is happening to edward. Edward denies it, saying that he knows War would prefer it if chaos won in the short term, but would prefer humanity to live on so then they can start many more wars in the future.

An earth quake rumbles through the city and several buildings fall, john recognize this as his vision of the future.

He remembers that when he met the god of time, the god of time told him this is what would happen if john fought chaos. This sparks an idea that john instead try to get the god to possess him instead of sam.

John summons the god to the building, putiting a binding spell to prevent him from getting out.

Chaos tells him that john is below him and while he may be the most powerful amge he has ever met, he is not his vessel, nd he will destroy him. He starts to threaten all the ones john loves, before sam starts to cry, asking john to make it stop. The god was hurting him. John tries to talk to sam for a bit but the god locks sam back in his mind and tells john he was just stalling for his forces to arrive inside the kingdom. The god then breaks through the bindings and vanishes as john hears an attack start.

The battle starts and Vallery decides to choose to let her shapeshifter side out, trying to be more powerful in an effort to defeat more cult members.After the battle

John goes to alistair to ask why he betrayed them. Alistair tells him he didn’t. After all. He gave him the god killer.

It takes john a while to find out that the cane that alistair gave him constains a sword.

John leaves the ruins of the kingdom and goes back to the city, summoning anyone who is willing to help. Edward gets the sword, john gets the dagger from earlier and they set out to start the war against choas.

The battle goes on until john get close to chaos. He calls to Sam who is trapped and encourages him to fight Chaos, sam starts to and john pulls him close in an effort to help lend whatever power he can and then feels a sharp pain suddenly go through him. Looking down he sees the god killer he gave Edward going through his chest and into Sam’s.

Edward has killed both of them and the gods inside them

John accepts this and closes his eyes.

And john dies.

Second to last chapter is

He’s on the verge of nothing, john is literally nothing, he is just a thought that is scattered throughout the void. He’s fading and then a voice calls out to him. It sounds like his mother but its not. THe voice tells him it is the last god to escape. It is Peace.

Not the opposite of war, but the god of no good, no evil, no life, no death, it is literally peace from everything.

It tells john he’s tired, and weary, and he’s been a very goo solider, but he’s not done yet. There is still much more to do. He can not leave yet, and they won’t let him.

The chapter ends with john screaming in pain

the last chapter

John is wakes up in the hospital next to morganna. He looks down at his chest and there is a large nasty burn but it seems to have sealed. Vallery is there and Edward is hiding outside, ashamed of what he did. They explain they brought him back to the ruins of the kingdom but the hole in his chest had sealed up when they went to inspect him, the wound healing before them and after a few moments john had taken a breath.

Despite everyone’s protests john gets off the bed and starts getting dressed, acting as though he just woke up from a nap rather than just came back from the dead. By the time he buttons his shirt up the burn is gone.

He goes outside to talk to edward, and tells him he forgives him but they more work to do. “First things first” John goes to see alistair, he originally goes in there to thank him for helping him, and telling him he realizes that alistair really had thought he was doing the right thing… but when he goes out to touch him alistairs wounds are healed in an instant. Confused as to how john healed so quickly and how he was able to heal alistair despite having no healing magic knowledge, he turns to vallery and returns her back to her human form,

john’s eyes start to glow like the vessels of a god’s but he has no god inside him

The book ends with Edward saying “A God Walks among us.”

The series ends

John does however make a brief appearance in a spin off series where a man can see souls looks at john and burns his eyes out
