Watched this last night with the family. I have a huge soft spot for John Candy. I love his movies and they’re great to watch around the holidays. Uncle Buck was especially poignant for many reasons, but the school scene really got me this time. It is where the assistant principle bitches about one of the kids being too silly and daydreaming and using their imagination. That disdain for creativity is still prevalent today in schools. Going through it right now with one of mine.
