The whole footballing world is still on hold as the recent developments have made it impossible and dangerous for teams to go out and compete as they have done so far. It is not clear what impact this postponement will have on the clubs that are either on the very top or bottom of their respective leagues. Of course, one of the options is certainly to freeze the campaign and declare the winners and the losers according to the current state of the league tables and that would actually see Leeds United and West Brom promoted into the Premier League. Naturally, in that case, some of the teams that are currently in the danger zone would have to be relegated in the process as well. However, there’s also a possibility that the English top-flight could be expanded to 22 teams with none of them going down this year. According to John Cross, snatching Leeds and West Brom from the Championship and expanding the Premier League would only disrupt the Championship and football would lose integrity. It's a ridiculous notion. We'll disrupt the league and take out pick when we feel like it. All leagues need to finish in some way – whenever and however. And same goes for FA Cup and European competition. Otherwise we kiss goodbye to football's integrity. Rant over. — John Cross (@johncrossmirror) March 15, 2020 Leeds fans, what do you think about Cross’ verdict? Do you think that decision would be the wrong one to make?
