I have been sleuthing again...and wow! David Fitzgerald Doyle was born 12/1/1929, the middle child of Lewis "Lum" Doyle and Mary Ruth Doyle. His older brother was John "Dugie" Bosley (1924-2013). "Dugie" was a Navy pilot during WWII and served on the aircraft carrier USS Ticonderoga in the Pacific Fleet. After taking enemy fire during a bombing mission he was missing in action in the Philippines before being picked up by a Navy seaplane. He went on to become a lawyer in Nebraska, outliving both of his siblings. David's sister was Mary Doyle (1931-1995), an actress who appeared in "Chorus Line Angels" in 1981. She passed away after a battle with lung cancer.
David Doyle is said to have two wives...but according to findagrave.com, he was married three times. His first wife was named Camilla Clay Smith (1932-2000). They were married in 1953 and divorced by 1960. Camilla was then in a same-sex partnership for 24 years with literary feminist Bertha Ann Harris. I guess we all know why she was never mentioned, considering how homosexuality was viewed in the 1960s. In 1960, David married Rachel Armour (1934-1968), an actress. Rachel met a tragic end when she fell from a stairway. David and Rachel had a daughter named Leah (born 1961), who I am unable to find out much information on so far. I imagine Leah is still living. David's third wife was Anita Sussman (stage name Anne Nathan), a singer/dancer/actress. She is not on findagrave.com, so I am not sure if she is still living. Ann battled retinitis pigmentosa and was David's wife during his time on Charlie's Angels.
